  We went for the 6 course New Year dinner. The restaurant's presentation was good, from the atmosphere to the menu. For fine dining though, the food was just average. Of the 6 courses, the ones I liked were the prawns for my entrée (although could do with a little more kick in flavour), the chocolate plate for dessert and the truffles that were served with tea. The macadamia truffle was my favourite! The citrus sorbet before the mains was fine for the first 3 spoons but after that, it was too sweet especially with the mint syrup. It was like eating a golf ball of sugar at the end. On the good side, the brandy snap that came with it was delicious. For the mains, the lamb was cooked well and came with a sauce that has strangely similar colour as the sauce on the chicken that a friend of mine had. It may be just me but the meat wasn't flavourful and the sauce was a little bland.
  
  One gripe that I have is with some of the service which could do with some improvements. Service when our orders were taken and when food was served was fine. But after each course, not all the dishes were cleared so when the next course came, we had to re arrange the dirty plates to make room. The were a few plates left from the previous two courses at times. Also, I had to ask the staff to refill our water jugs and for missing cutlery. For a fine dining restaurant, a customer doesn't need to ask the staff to do all this. I've been to non fine dining and cheaper restaurants that took care of all this. Overall, not a bad dinner. Could do with quite a few improvements. Would I go back? I'll have to think about it.
